Dinsdag 14 juni heeft Arnold Kok succesvol de training van IASO Certified Technical Specialist afgerond. Arnold Kok is al jaren bekend met onze software en heeft succesvol het examen doorstaan (zonder fouten!). Daarnaast is hij ook bevoegd ICTS-trainer, de eerste ICTS trainer buiten de huidige trainers van IASO.

Donderdag 23 juni mochten wij 4 nieuwe partners ontvangen in ons hoofdkantoor in Emmeloord. Dankzij de trainer Bram den Hartog en de inzet van de cursisten kunnen wij met trots zeggen dat er weer 4 specialisten op ons lijst staan. Thijs Boin (Boin IT), Ingrid de Bont (Aster ICT), Wladimir Pallast (Switch), en Harrie van Olst (Selles Automatisering), gefeliciteerd met jullie certificaat!

Today the new training IASO Certified Training Specialist (ICTS) has succesfully started! The first five participants, all from IASO partners SMART IT Services and DATACENTER Services, passed the exam and are now allowed to call themselves IASO Certified Technical Specialist of IASO IP Backup software.

At the HQ of IASO in the Netherlands, Ronald Blokhuis, Sales Consultant, trained the participants in starting, implementing and managing IASO software. And the new knowledge was tested straight away with an exam. We are proud to say that all five participants passed the exam without any problems!

Due to the increasing amount of data over the last couple of years, the disadvantages of tape backup are exceeding the only advantage of tape backup:  it is cheap. The biggest disadvantage is being caused by substantial data growth and leads to backup window problems. Simply put: more and more data will lead to too much data within the available backup time. For this reason, companies choose to exclude data out of the daily backup session or to enlarge the available backup time. But this will only lead to a higher risk of loosing data. This phenomenon is occuring more and more within the business environment.

That was the reason for us to investigate this trend in the Enterprise market. Our IASO survey about backup solutions within large companies shows that 75% of the participants would like their backup window as short as possible. Moreover, 45% says to include over 10TB of data in the backup. As it is very likely that data growth will continue rapidly, it is to be expected that sooner or later tape backup will lead to large problems. Because tape backup is still the most popular backup solution in the Enterprise market as 65% still uses it, though sometimes combined with additional products.

Another problem of tape lies in the fact that tape deteriorates in time. This will lead to problems when restoring data, like during a disaster recovery. The tape cannot be read anymore and restoring specific data takes too much time or will cause data loss.

It is good to know that these problems can be prevented quite easily. IASO offers a total and reliable solution, with almost unlimited possibilities. That is why we can say with certainty that IASO software is completely future proof! No data loss, always short backup windows and always a complete restore of all data in no time!
