Setup instructions
You can download our package from the apsstandard.org or here.
After installing the application to the POA you need to configure it.
Go to “Service Director” > “Application Manager” > “Application Manager” > “IASO Backup”
Resource Types Tab
You need two create two resource types with different classes
The first one e.g. “IASO Backup Application” of the class Application, the second one “IASO Backup Resource” of the class “Application Resource (KB)”.
First resource type is “IASO Backup Application”:
After choosing the class Application go to the menu application configuration “Global application settings”
Username – login that is used to connect to the management server (backup_admin)
Password – password that is used to connect to the management server
Product name – product name in Management Engine.
E-mail from – address that will be used as “From” while sending emails to the client.
Admin E-mail – address of the administrator that will get notfication about new accounts. The field is optional and could be empty.
Engine Server – address of the Management Engine you use.
Server wsdl – link to the .wsdl for your ManagementService.
E-Mail Subject (company name) – email subject. We advise to include company name, as this subject will be used for all notifications about any actions with accounts/groups e.g. creation, suspend, deletion etc.
E-mail messages to a group (html) – Email template in HTML format.

“USER” and “PWD” and “PRODUCTNAME” are template variables and should be used exactly in this form as they will be replaced by generated username and password and product, All the rest could be changed in accordance to your needs.
Server address: IP/hostname – you should specify here address of the server that client will use while installation, Server address must be included into the email as user will be requested for this value while installation.
Then choose “Additional Parameters”
Enough would be to specify “Show application in navigation menu” and “Embed application user interface”
Then choose “External Provisioning”, check everything and press “Finish”
Second resource class is IASO Backup Resource:
Choose “Application Resource (KB)” class, enter the name for the class for example “IASO Backup Resource”, chose “Used Storage resource” resource and press “Finish”
After two resource types are created you need to create “Service Templates”
Go to “Service Director” > “Provisioning Manager” > “Service Templates” > “Add New Service Template”
Enter the template name, description, select “Autoprovisioning”, type should stay “Custom”.
Further find and select “IASO Backup Application” and “IASO Backup Resource”.
In the next menu you should specify limits for for the resources or left them “Unlimited”
“IASO Backup Application”, “Application Backup”, “Application User” – quantity of accounts that could be used in one group.
IASO Backup Resource – quantity of storage that can be used by all accounts of the group.
After template creation you should activate it.
PBA requires following setting
In the “Product Director > Plan Manager > Service Templates” you should make sure new service template is available.
Then create “Unique Groups”, “Sales Categories” “Plan Categories”
Now we can create a service plan: “Product Director” > “Plan Manager” > “Service Plans” > “Add New Service Plan”, Service Template – choose from a list of our template, select “Published”
Add Subscription Periods (Step 2 of 5)
Choose the period and specify the price for the installation/reactivation etc.
Add Resources (Step 4 of 5)
Find and select our resources, also please select “Measurable, Show in Store, Show in CP”.
For the “IASO Backup Resource” specify Min.Units 1,024, and enable “Charge per Unit”
Add Up-sale Categories (Step 5 of 5)
Choose the category and finish the configuration.
Now your clients are able to order backup.
